Job summary

US Fertility invites applications for an Andrology Lab Technician at the Fertility Center of Illinois, Chicago Chestnut office. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with occasional holidays; compensation is $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

You will join a national network of fertility centers and support semen analysis, ART procedures, and quality control in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year laboratory experience.
Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in biology or related field or MLT/ASCP certification equivalent.
Tissue culture experience and/or semen processing a plus.

Responsibilities

Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples.
Ordering and receiving lab supplies.
Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
Perform counts for concentration and motility; perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology.
Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs).
Ensure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody).
Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory.
Assist lab personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to maintain accreditation.
