Job summary

US Fertility in Melville, NY is seeking an Andrology Lab Technician to join our national fertility network. You will perform semen analysis, process samples, and maintain quality controls in a centralized laboratory setting.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM ET with rotating weekends and holidays. Compensation starts at $21 per hour, commensurate with experience, with opportunities for growth across a high-impact team dedicated to patient care.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biology or related science and/or MLT ASCP credential.
• Minimum of one year laboratory experience.
• Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred.
• Tissue culture experience (sterile technique) and/or semen processing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive and disposition of frozen samples.
• Order and receive lab supplies.
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
• Perform counts for concentration and motility; conduct histological techniques for leukocytes, immature germ cells and morphology.
• Process semen for ART procedures and IUIs.
• Ensure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody).
• Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment.
• Assist lab personnel in accordance with laws and guidelines to maintain accreditation.
• Check and record daily refrigerator temperatures for proper storage.

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Lab Technician to join our team atRMAofNewYork Long IslandinMelville,NewYork.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern Time; rotating weekends and holidays
• Compensation: $21 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, theAndrology Lab Technician will:

• Ship, receive and disposition of frozen samples
• Order and receive lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology/Endocrine laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
• Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.
• Perform quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.
• Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.

What You’ll Bring
