Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking a skilled mobile device tester to work on core Android testing, including OS upgrades, domain validation, and sensor data validation. You will engage with connectivity and multimedia testing, leveraging QXDM/QPST/ADB/LogCat on Qualcomm hardware.

The role requires hands-on experience with Android versions 10–12 and a strong QA mindset, with opportunities to expand into CTS/STs, GTS, VTS and automation. In-person work location preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mobile device testing experience.
• Hands-on with Qualcomm devices and testing tools (QXDM, QPST, ADB, LogCat).
• Experience with Android versions 10–12 and FOTA testing.

Responsibilities

• Test Android OS upgrades and domain validation on Qualcomm devices.
• Validate sensors data and perform connectivity/multimedia testing.
• Execute CTS/STs/GTS/VTS tests and contribute to automation where possible.

Overview

Full job description. You will be part of core Android team performing in-depth Android OS Kernel upgrades, Android OS domain validation, Sensor's data validation, Connectivity/Multimedia (Audio/Video codecs) testing which will enhance your test skills beyond application level.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Exp. of working on Qualcomm devices & hands-on with tools viz. QXDM, QPST, Adb, LogCat
• Min. 2+ yrs knowledge in Android Mobile apps testing
• Feature, System & Performance testing
• Versatile with various Android versions and have worked on Android 10,11,12.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Good to Have Skills

• Experienced in Android OS upgrade testing, FOTA
• GMS Testing experience- CTS, STS, GTS, VTS, C-verifier etc.
• Have worked on Axiom framework
• Basic knowledge of Python & scripting
• Have worked on Smart phones, Rugged devices, Trackers, Smartwatches, AndroidWear
