Job summary

Qualcomm in Honolulu is seeking a dedicated Android QA tester to join the core Android team. You will perform in-depth Android OS kernel upgrades, domain validation, sensor data validation, and multimedia testing to sharpen your validation skills while contributing to Qualcomm device quality.

The role focuses on end-to-end testing across Android versions (10–12), with opportunities to engage in FOTA-like updates, CTS/GTS testing, and various QA activities within a collaborative hardware-software

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of knowledge in Android mobile app testing.
• Experience on Qualcomm devices and testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Versatile with various Android versions and have worked on Android 10, 11, 12.
• Experience in feature, system, and performance testing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

You will be part of the core Android team performing in-depth Android OS kernel upgrades, Android OS domain validation, sensor data validation, and connectivity/multimedia (audio/video codecs) testing to enhance your test skills beyond the application level.

Required Skills

• Experience working on Qualcomm devices and hands‑on knowledge of tools such as QXDM, QPST, ADB, LogCat
• Minimum 2+ years of knowledge in Android mobile app testing
• Feature, system, and performance testing experience
• Versatile with various Android versions and have worked on Android 10, 11, 12
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Android OS upgrade testing and FOTA
• GMS testing experience – CTS, STS, GTS, VTS, C‑verifier, etc.
• Experience with the Axiom framework
• Basic knowledge of Python and scripting
• Experience with smartphones, rugged devices, trackers, smartwatches, and Android Wear

Job Details

• Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
