Job summary

SQUAD is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to design and build native mobile applications. You’ll work with a team of engineers to create maintainable, future-proof code, develop new features, optimize apps, and participate in ongoing maintenance.

You will collaborate across teams, work with external data sources, and continuously improve performance. The role requires strong Kotlin/Java skills, Android SDK expertise, and a proactive engineering mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, OOP/OOAD and ability to apply it in practice.
• Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK, platform architecture, and development best practices.
• Experience with modern Android UI development (Jetpack Compose and XML layouts).
• Expertise in asynchronous programming using Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger).
• Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
• Proactive problem-solving habits and engineering mindset.
• Good written and spoken English.
