Job summary

Duolingo is hiring for an Android-focused engineer within the Subscriber Conversion team. You will develop, test, and refine native Android features in Kotlin, contributing to a high-velocity, data-driven product that drives subscription growth across iOS, Android, backend, and web surfaces.

You will mentor junior engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate with design and backend colleagues to ship reliable, scalable solutions that power our paywall and pricing experiments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Programming experience in Kotlin on Android.
• The ability to communicate technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong programming experience building reactive Android apps.
• Experience designing clean and maintainable APIs and writing unit tests.
