This engineer will own the Android side of our AI assistant. They'll build the app in Kotlin, connect it to backend/AI services, and make sure AI interactions feel fast, reliable, and intuitive.
A big part of the job is dealing with the realities of AI-powered apps. AI responses can be slow, incomplete, unpredictable, or fail entirely, so this engineer needs to build the Android experience around those situations.
They'll work on things like AI chat, vision/image features, voice/speech, recommendations, streaming responses, retries/fallbacks, analytics, logging, and user feedback collection.
As an Android Software Engineer, you own the Android client experience, how AI feels, behaves, and performs on mobile devices. This is not a thin client role. You will build a production Android application where AI interactions are core to the product, and performance, reliability, and clarity matter.
