Job summary

WHOOP is seeking an Android Engineer II to advance internationalization, RTL support, and a scalable design system for the WHOOP member experience globally. You will build shared components, collaborate across teams, and ensure the Android app delivers consistent experiences across regions and languages.

In this role, you will work with Design to evolve the design system, audit UI for localization needs, and optimize performance across a wide range of devices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional Android development experience.
• Kotlin and Android frameworks (Jetpack, Compose) proficiency.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience building reusable components and design systems.
• Solid knowledge of Android UI and layout behavior.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Git or other version control experience.
• Familiarity with internationalization/localization best practices.
• RTL support implementation using Android tools.
• Knowledge of accessibility and responsive design on Android.
• Exposure to design systems or shared component libraries.
