Job summary

Google is seeking Developer Relations Engineers who are hands-on and community-oriented to engage Android developers at conferences and online. You will write sample code, client libraries, and participate in developer forums to troubleshoot issues and convey feedback to product teams.

As part of the Developer Relations group, you’ll drive strategy to foster a global developer community, represent developers to Product Managers, and support integration of Google technologies in external apps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of work experience in a technical role.
• Experience building for Android using Kotlin.
• Experience with UI development.

Responsibilities

• Present technical sessions and workshops at conferences, meetups, and developer events.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver the most relevant developer narrative to Android Developers.
• Understand how Android development works in an agentic coding era and drive high quality input to ensure models can effectively write idiomatic and performant Android code
• Become an expert in one or more foundational Android areas, and identify opportunities for Google and developers to create better products for users.
• Work with external developers, generate developer insights, create guidance, write example code, author blog posts, design APIs, propose product changes, influence engineering plans, discover developer stories, and inspire developers.
