Expedia Group in Chicago is seeking a Mobile Engineer Android to join the Offers Experience team. You will build and operate reliable Android applications and release processes that deliver secure, high-quality mobile experiences aligned with traveler and partner outcomes.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into maintainable code, collaborating across engineering and product teams, monitoring performance, and safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience developing Android applications and delivering production software.
• Experience owning and contributing to components or services within a defined product or technical domain.
• Proficiency with Android development fundamentals, API integration, data modeling, testing, version control, and debugging.
• Ability to apply low-level system design principles and make sound technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain Android mobile experiences that deliver reliable, intuitive outcomes for travelers and partners.
• Translate product requirements into well-structured, maintainable code using appropriate Android development practices.
• Contribute to low-level system design, API integration, data modeling, testing, and code reviews within an assigned service or product area.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and other technical domains to deliver cohesive mobile capabilities and resolve complex technical issues.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance, reliability, security, and operational health throughout the development lifecycle.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, while building familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows.
