Job summary

Mobis North America is seeking a software engineer to develop Kotlin and Java Android applications for an in-vehicle Infotainment product. The role includes creating new vehicle programs with Digital Radio features, participating in design and code reviews, and producing software requirements and design documents.

You will collaborate with customers to refine requirements, support vehicle quality events, and manage small projects and resources with careful planning and timely follow-through.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (CS/CE/Electrical) required.
• Experience developing automotive multimedia/infotainment software preferred.
• Experience with Android Auto.
• Experience coding in Kotlin.
• Experience using Android Studio profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Experience writing multi-threaded systems and diagnosing related defects.

Responsibilities

• Develop Kotlin, Java Android applications for an in-vehicle Infotainment product.
• Develop new vehicle programs with Digital Radio broadcast features.
• Use JIRA for issue analysis and resolution.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Create software requirements and design documents.
• Participate in vehicle quality events.
• Manage small projects and technical resources, including planning, estimating and follow-through.
• Work with the customer to refine requirements and resolve issues.
