Job summary

The role requires strong Android development experience, Kotlin/Java, and familiarity with Jetpack, MVVM/MVI, and RESTful integration.

Qualifications

• Product minded engineer with empathy for the member experience.
• Willingness to learn and grow rapidly across Android and external systems.
• Experience in Android app structure, components, lifecycle and design guidelines.
• Experience delivering native Android apps in a professional environment.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and frameworks such as Coroutines, Jetpack libraries, Room, Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Well-versed in communicating with a RESTful backend.
• Experience using Git to organize feature work.
• Experience with MVVM, MVI, and modular architecture.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Kotlin and Java to develop and maintain product features and communicate with a RESTful backend.
• Lead and contribute to new feature ideation, planning, and development.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to solve challenges across the system.
• Document new features and architecture.
• Analyze user metrics and feedback to improve engagement and reduce crashes.
• Participate in the release process including building, variants, signing, Firebase testing, and App Store submission.
• Self organize using Jira, Confluence, and Github.
