Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking a talented Android Engineer to join our team remotely from the USA. In this full-time role, you will own architecture and development of Android apps powering interactive video experiences across devices, including Android TV.

You will translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect interfaces, collaborate with product, design and backend teams, build reusable components, and integrate REST, WebSocket and gRPC while driving CI/CD and performance optimizations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Proficient in Kotlin with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Material Design.
• Experience deploying apps to Google Play Store.
• Familiar with backend integrations, coroutines, and reactive patterns.
• Strong testing, CI/CD, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Android apps using Kotlin and modern frameworks.
• Translate UI/UX designs from Figma into pixel‑perfect, responsive interfaces across devices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features on time.
• Build reusable components and SDK modules across Android form factors.
• Integrate APIs and real‑time data sources such as REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
• Participate in code reviews, set up CI/CD pipelines, and improve build and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across devices and OS versions.

In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining high-quality Android applications that power interactive video experiences. As part of our innovative tech team, you will take ownership of technical design on projects of moderate complexity, ensuring the delivery of flexible, scalable, and well‑architected front‑end solutions across various Android devices, including phones, tablets, and Android TV platforms. Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional experience in Android development within a production environment.
