Job summary

VDart Group is seeking an experienced Android Developer in Philadelphia to build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences. You will collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, and contribute to app architecture and high-leverage technical decisions.

The role requires strong Kotlin skills, experience with MVVM and backend-driven UI frameworks, and familiarity with RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or building UI frameworks driven dynamically by backend JSON schemas.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing complex client-side state logic.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architecture patterns.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Professional experience or deep familiarity with Flutter for cross-platform mobile development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and high-leverage technical decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks, while utilizing cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
• Implement and expand dynamic, Spec-Driven Development (SDD) rendering frameworks to deliver backend-driven mobile UI.
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware/software integration layers.
• Debug and resolve complex production and connectivity issues.
• Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement.
