Publicis Sapient in Chicago (Hybrid) is seeking an Android Developer to build modern mobile apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will own features from development through testing, ensuring accessible, high-quality user experiences aligned with our design system and engineering standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, implement analytics, and participate in code reviews while growing in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Android app development with Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for UI.
• Understanding of modern Android architectures (MVVM or similar).
• Experience writing unit and UI tests for Android apps.
• Awareness of accessibility fundamentals in mobile apps.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Ability to follow coding standards in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into clean, functional UI using Jetpack Compose.
• Build and maintain UI screens and reusable components with design tokens.
• Write readable, maintainable Kotlin code following patterns.
• Add analytics instrumentation consistent with conventions.
• Apply accessibility best practices for inclusive experiences.
• Write unit and UI tests to validate features.
• Leverage AI coding tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with peers.
• Own small features end-to-end with guidance.
