About The Role

Advanced Mobile Payment Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Android Developer to build, improve, and maintain high-quality mobile applications. In this role, you will contribute to projects from initial technical planning and development through testing, release, and ongoing support. You will create new applications as well as refactor existing codebases to improve their robustness, modularity, scalability, and maintainability. The successful candidate is deeply knowledgeable about Android development and takes a thoughtful, quality-focused approach to engineering. You will work closely with product, design, quality assurance, and engineering colleagues across global teams. You should be comfortable communicating technical decisions, collaborating across time zones, and adapting solutions to the diverse devices and Android versions used by customers. The role also calls for practical, responsible use of AI tools to support development workflows and improve productivity without compromising code quality, security, or sound engineering judgment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a developer with substantial professional experience delivering Android applications and a strong command of the Android platform, its development tools, and its application lifecycle. You should have experience designing and implementing maintainable code, working with established software architecture patterns, and making informed decisions about modularity and technical trade-offs. A strong understanding of mobile application performance, testing, debugging, and compatibility across devices and operating system versions is important. Experience building or supporting applications in payments, financial technology, or another security-conscious domain is valuable. You should be comfortable reviewing code, identifying technical risks, and communicating clearly with both technical and nontechnical partners. We also value curiosity about new development practices and demonstrated ability to use AI-powered tools thoughtfully as part of an engineering workflow. A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is welcome.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications that meet product requirements and quality expectations. Build new features and applications from the ground up, and assess existing code to identify opportunities for refactoring, modernization, and improved reliability. Contribute to application architecture and establish patterns that support reusable, modular, and maintainable components. Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and device-specific behavior. Help ensure applications work consistently across supported Android versions and a varied device landscape. Participate in code reviews, testing plans, technical discussions, and release activities. Work with product, design, QA, and engineering colleagues to clarify requirements, estimate work, and deliver solutions collaboratively. Share progress and raise risks early when coordinating across distributed teams and time zones. Evaluate and use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate routine work, support problem-solving, and enhance productivity, while validating generated output and following applicable security and quality practices.
