Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years building native Android apps with a portfolio across the full Android lifecycle.
• Strong Kotlin proficiency with modern Android architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture, unidirectional data flow).
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle for multi-module builds.
• Extensive experience with Jetpack libraries and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving memory, rendering, and battery issues in production apps.
• Track record of shipping or maintaining at least one app on Google Play Store.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and lead end-to-end design and development of major features for the flagship Android app.
• Act as the primary Android technical authority across engineering, setting direction on Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and performance, resolving defects and bottlenecks.
• Coach and mentor junior Android engineers and foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into robust mobile experiences.
• Optimize performance in memory, battery usage, and runtime speed for a smooth Android experience.
• Assess development processes and delivery workflows to boost velocity and reduce time-to-production.
• Evaluate risk, ensuring security, compliance, and platform reliability align with standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 or more years of professional experience building native Android applications, with a portfolio that demonstrates depth across the full Android development lifecycle.
• Expert command of Kotlin, coupled with a thorough understanding of modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and unidirectional data flow.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Gradle build system, with the ability to configure and optimize complex multi-module builds.
• Extensive experience with Jetpack libraries, including Jetpack Compose for building declarative UIs at production scale.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues related to memory, rendering, and battery consumption in production Android applications.
• Track record of shipping or maintaining at least one application on the Google Play Store, with direct accountability for release quality and store presence.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience leading technical decisions in a formal or informal capacity across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Familiarity with agile and waterfall delivery models and the ability to manage dependencies across both in a large-scale engineering environment.
• Background in mobile engineering within regulated industries such as financial services, where security, compliance, and audit considerations shape development decisions.

• Coach and mentor junior Android engineers, building technical capability across the team and creating a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Partner with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and backend engineers to translate complex business and user requirements into robust, high-quality mobile experiences.
• Optimize application performance across memory management, battery efficiency, and runtime speed to deliver a consistently smooth experience on Android devices.
• Evaluate and improve development processes, testing strategies, and delivery workflows to increase engineering velocity and reduce time-to-production.
• Assess technical and operational risk during key engineering decisions, ensuring solutions align with company's standards for security, compliance, and platform reliability.
