Job summary

Electric Power Systems, Inc. seeks a Substation Testing & Commissioning Manager to lead our Anchorage team. This senior role combines hands-on field testing with project management, client coordination, and administrative duties.

The applicant must reside in Alaska for this position. The role involves overseeing testing, commissioning, and maintenance of substation equipment, managing projects, coordinating field technicians, and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with high-voltage power systems, relays, controls, or substation apparatus.
• Familiarity with project management, estimating, and direct client interaction
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• NETA or NICET Power Testing certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of substation and equipment
• Manage small to mid-sized projects including estimating, quoting, and direct client communication
• Oversee and coordinate work for field technicians and support project execution
• Balance field work with office tasks such as documentation, scheduling, and reporting
• Identify new project opportunities and support business development efforts
