Lynden Transport is seeking an Operations Assistant at the Anchorage Service Center to provide clerical and administrative support to service center personnel. The role includes processing transactions, updating equipment status, and assisting with daily operations in a busy logistics environment.

The candidate will work varied shifts, may travel between Lynden facilities, and will help maintain records, handle inquiries, and support supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer transportation or logistics education/experience.
• Typing 40 wpm and basic math skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and transfer business transactions in ledgers as instructed.
• Perform calculations for discounts and totals.
• Enter daily business events and equipment status into the system.
• Monitor trailer movements and assist in planning arrivals.
• Process and file documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate person.
• Travel between facilities as needed with company-provided vehicle.
• Assist with special projects and provide miscellaneous support.
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and records.
