Job summary

Chattanooga State is seeking an Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory Technician to ensure smooth operation of biology labs across multiple schedules and campus locations. You will prepare materials, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and support safe handling and disposal of regulated materials, with occasional early morning or evening hours to support instructional needs.

Bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in Biology/Clinical Lab Science required; experience with microscopes and autoclaves

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field.
• Experience with lab materials, equipment, and safety procedures is preferred.
• Ability to align lab components with course outcomes and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory materials, models, specimens, equipment, and facilities.
• Manage inventory and chemical/biological supplies; ensure safe handling and disposal.
• Support laboratory readiness and accurate documentation of supplies and usage.
• Adjust hours as needed to support instructional schedules across campuses.
