Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Anatomy Lab Assistant in Charlotte to support MS1 students and assist with laboratory setup and specimen handling. This part-time role requires a current WFUSM-CLT medical student who has completed MS1 anatomy coursework and can follow safety protocols.

The position emphasizes professional communication, reliability, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and peers. Hours are 5 per week, with duties including onboarding and hour tracking, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Current WFUSM-CLT second-year medical student in good academic standing.
• Successful completion of MS1 anatomy coursework.
• Interest in anatomy, surgery, radiology, or medical education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory setup and rotation, including plastinated specimens and models.
• Move, rotate, position, and organize anatomical specimens and materials as directed.
• Provide limited peer-level support to MS1 students during group activities.
• Complete onboarding materials including safety expectations and procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures for specimen handling and laboratory movement.
• Communicate scheduling, availability and responsibilities promptly.
• Accurately track and submit hours worked according to procedures.
