Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Anatomy Lab Assistant at Wake Forest University Health Sciences – Charlotte. The role supports MS1 activities, assists with specimen handling, lab setup, and rotation, and provides peer-level guidance during LAUNCH and lab sessions.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, tracking hours, coordinating schedules, and maintaining professional conduct. Candidates must be a WFUSM-CLT second-year medical student and have completed MS1 anatomy

Qualifications

• The Lab Assistants are expected to treat donors and materials with respect.
• Follow anatomy laboratory policies and safety requirements.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professional communication.
• Communicate scheduling conflicts or concerns promptly.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries in peer-support roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory setup and rotation of plastinated specimens and models.
• Move and organize anatomical specimens and related materials as directed.
• Provide limited peer-level support to MS1 students during group activities.
• Complete onboarding materials and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Track hours worked and coordinate with faculty on assignments.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and other lab assistants.
