Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports pathology team under supervision, handling daily assignments and clerical tasks in the Pathology Lab.
• Completes file slides, charts, answers phones, prepares slides for send out, gathers slides for conference and consultations, slide and requisition filing.
• Keeps up to date on policies, procedures, skills, and competency surveys; troubleshoots minor problems; completes CE.
• Accesses procedure manuals; follows SOP for specimen handling; understands instrumentation operation.
• Uses Copath to track specimens; assists with procedures and small projects; restocks supplies.
