Harris Health System seeks an Anatomic Pathology Supervisor to lead the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital pathology operations. You will supervise Histology, Cytology, Transcription, Morgue and Frozen Section, ensuring timely, high-quality services.

Responsibilities include operational leadership, staff management, workflow optimization, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, with occasional bench work and staff mentoring to sustain continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Histotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• ASCP certification as HTL/HT/CT.
• 5+ years in histology/cytology/related roles.
• 2+ years supervisory experience with staff scheduling, performance management, variance reporting, procedure development, problem resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Histology, Cytology, Transcription, Morgue, and Frozen Section.
• Mentor staff and drive continuous process improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Perform bench duties as needed.
