Job summary

VCA Seaside Animal Hospital is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Resident for a full-time, annually renewed position. Work will involve extensive diagnostic case material from the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (OADDL), necropsy and biopsy duties, and preparation of case reports and diagnostic interpretations.

Start date is July 31, 2027, and the role is in-person at the facility. Residents will gain exposure to rounds, seminars, case presentations, teaching activities, and

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Eligibility for veterinary licensure if required by the institution.

Responsibilities

• Participation in pathology diagnostic services.
• Necropsy and biopsy service duties.
• Preparation of case reports and diagnostic interpretations.
• Case communication with clinicians and clients.
• Participation in rounds, seminars, case presentations, and teaching activities.
• Participation in oral and written scholarship.
• Independent study and board preparation activities.
