Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville seeks an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Operations Manager to lead the AP laboratory on the downtown campus. You will guide clinical leadership, ensure patient safety, and uphold quality by maintaining regulatory compliance and staffing effectiveness.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital planning, staffing adequacy, instrument performance, and applying Lean and CQI methods to improve lab efficiency and service quality across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of clinical leadership in an AP lab within a health system.
• Familiarity with CAP and Joint Commission standards, infection control and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead pathology laboratory services within a major health system and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
• Oversee budgets, staffing (FTEs), capital equipment, and resource planning to support department growth.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (CAP, Joint Commission) and maintain patient safety standards across facilities.
• Apply Lean, CQI, and workflow design to improve efficiency and service quality.
