Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks an Anatomic Pathology Supervisor to lead the laboratory's Anatomic Pathology/Histology/Digital Pathology workflow, including autopsy and digital pathology. You will oversee technical, clinical and quality aspects, perform gross analysis, and supervise staff in the assigned section.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in science-related field or Histotechnology (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor or team lead required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Histotechnologist required.
• Nationally/Internationally recognized certification as a Histotechnologist (ASCP) - Eligible. Must obtain within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Anatomic Pathology/Histology/Digital Pathology workflows including autopsy and digital pathology.
• Supervise and develop staff; ensure training and competency of section personnel.
• Review test performance, QC charts, and regulatory documentation; initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Improvement programs and implement improvement actions.
• Assist in recruitment, scheduling, and coverage to ensure uninterrupted laboratory services.
• Prepare and evaluate frozen sections and perform microscopic evaluation as needed.
