Job summary

Neuralink is seeking a Pathology Specialist to drive the anatomic pathology and histology cores. You will perform necropsies, execute histology workflows, and ensure GDP-compliant documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

The role requires experience in necropsy and tissue processing, strong communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic preclinical environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in an anatomic pathology function.
• Adept at technical necropsy and grossing within a regulated pathology pipeline.
• Familiarity with basic anatomy, physiology, and tissue abnormalities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform animal necropsies and tissue grossing.
• Conduct histological processes including embedding, microtomy, staining, and advanced imaging.
• Operate high-throughput laboratory equipment with adjusted parameters as needed.
• Document findings in accordance with GDP and SOPs, identifying gaps for improvement.
• Collaborate with PATH cores, Pathologists, Veterinary Medicine, and Preclinical teams for study-related processes.
• Manage inventories and hazardous materials disposal, maintaining a clean lab.
• Collaborate across all cores in Pathology to ensure collective success.
