Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Lewisville, TX is seeking an Anatomic Path Support Representative I to provide general support for the Anatomic Pathology function. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Primary duties include filing and retrieval of slides, LIS data entry, mail distribution, and coordination of special stains and QA/QC support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and LIS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Filing and retrieval of slides as requested.
• Electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Mail handling and distribution within the department.
• Storage of laboratory records according to established protocol.
• May load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument.
• Print/Collate History Match.
• Manage requests for recuts, special stains and immunohistochemistry stains.
• Participate in QA/QC support activities.
• May contact clients for information.
• Handle incoming calls professionally and promptly.

Position provides general support for the Anatomic Pathology function.

Pay range: $17.20+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Qualifications:

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking and/orstanding.
• May be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of whichdemand significant manual dexterity

• Quest LIS knowledge is desirable
