Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a web developer to join the Data Science Platform Engineering team. After initial in-person training, the role offers the possibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software, with opportunities to implement robust, flexible solutions and improve processes. A CS degree and passion for learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Understanding of OO and/or functional design paradigms.
• Logical thinking and pattern recognition.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and practices.
• Ability to adapt to change and innovation.
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Angular.
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, WebAPI, SQL, MVC, AWS, testing, SDLC, Agile, or Git is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software programs and applications.
• Communicate effectively with business users, team members, and management.
• Create robust, flexible, maintainable solutions and identify process improvements.
• Collaborate within Data Science Platform Engineering on new and existing systems.
