You will deliver high‑quality dashboards and analytical products supporting enterprise decision‑making across MAHRS and related HR programs. The role requires practical experience with Qlik and Databricks, plus strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant experience in data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide metrics, automation workflows, and visualization analytics for manpower and HR data reporting requirements.
• Design and develop visualization products from multiple data sources to create engaging interactive dashboards.
• Build dashboards and reports using BI tools (Cognos BI, Qlik, Databricks).
• Transform data sources into data tables and create data models joining multiple datasets.
• Communicate with stakeholders and technical teams to achieve project objectives with cross-functional visual solutions.

Transform data into actionable insight as an Analytics Visualization Specialist supporting the Department of the Navy’s Total Force Manpower, Human Resources, and related mission areas within the Program. Your work will provide critical metrics, automation, and visualization products that communicate complex HR and manpower information in a clear, compelling, and accessible way for both technical and non‑technical audiences — from DON Senior Leadership to Command-level program managers

HOW AN ANALYTICS VISUALIZATION SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Provide metrics, automation workflows, and visualization analytics in support of Total Force manpower, HR, and related data reporting requirements.
• Design and develop visualization products which take complex information from multiple data sources and create appealing interactive data visualization of performance measures and other metrics.
• Design, develop and support statistical and predictive analytics dashboards and reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Cognos BI, Qlik, and Databricks.
• Transform data sources into data tables within tools to include Cognos BI, Qlik, and Databricks.
• Create data models within Qlik that join multiple data sets and tables.
• Create and maintain report specifications and process documentation as part of the required data deliverables.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and technical teams to achieve project objectives, delivering cross functional visualization solutions.
• Development, maintenance and enhancement of the organization's data infrastructure and reporting environment; and identifies and implements opportunities to improve or standup data driven decision making across the organization.
• Ensure all data management activities are conducted in accordance with high-quality standards and compliant with DoD and DON regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Required Education & Experience
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science or software engineering.
• Required Technical Skills
  • o Experience with Qlik and Databricks.
  • o Experience with Data Load Optimization
• Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal, written, listening and non-verbal communication) skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
• Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Cognos BI, Power BI, Excel, and/or DON/Jupiter tools is helpful.
  • Experience in Palantir Foundry would be a plus.
  • Ability to engage well with others and passionate about providing exemplary customer experience.
  • Ability to embrace change in a positive and enthusiastic manner.

• Position is contingent upon the Department of the Navy (DON) Security Office receiving favorable background investigation results for the Contractor Labor Associate (CLA) prior to the start date
