Job summary

CarMax invites students to join its Business Analyst Internship Program for a 10-week summer experience in 2027. Interns will work onsite at CarMax Midtown Office in Richmond, VA, 4 days a week, with a mentor guiding their development and opportunities to continue with CarMax after the program.

The role focuses on analytics, strategy, and communication, offering real-world projects, professional growth, and a vibrant analyst community of 200+ members.

Qualifications

• Applicants are currently enrolled as rising seniors in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
• Proficiency with computers and database systems/software (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Suite) preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; relevant project work or internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data with CarMax datasets to generate insights and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with teams to learn the business and communicate analytic findings.
• Develop both technical and soft skills through training and mentorship.
• Contribute to a community of analysts and continue professional growth during the internship.
