Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a seasoned Senior Analytics Developer to provide Epic reporting and analytics support to the Pharmacy organization. This role focuses on turning complex healthcare data into actionable insights to identify revenue opportunities, strengthen finances, and inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with data management, data interpretation, and analysis to include writing reports or queries using Crystal Reports, Tableau, SQL and/or similar reporting tools, with two years in relational databases using SQL.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Knowledge of health care operations and Access is required.
• Knowledge of data warehouse architecture is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Proficient knowledge and application of SAP Business Objects Suite tools is required.
• Knowledge of testing techniques and execution of test cases is required.
• Ability to produce succinct and meaningful documentation is required.
• Strong interpersonal relations and technical competence are required.
• Ability to assist in the implementation of system enhancements is required.
• Ability to support ongoing systems and maintain vendor relationships is required.
• Epic Clarity Data Model Certification within 60 days of training; Epic Caboodle certification within six months.

Nebraska Medicine is looking for a seasoned Senior Analytics Developer to provide dedicated Epic reporting and analytics support to our Pharmacy organization. Pharmacy plays a critical role in the financial and operational health of Nebraska Medicine, and this new position will help turn complex healthcare data into actionable insights that identify revenue opportunities, strengthen financial operations, support compliance, and inform strategic business decisions.

Working closely with Pharmacy Business Operations and clinical and operational leaders, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful analytics solutions while helping a growing and increasingly complex organization make better use of its data. Details: Analytics Sr Developer - Pharmacy Candidate must live in Nebraska or Iowa. This role has the opportunity to work from home in a hybrid capacity, but not fully remote, must be able to work on campus. The Pharmacy Sr Analytics Sr Developer will support the design and development of all enterprise reporting and analytics solutions in an Epic EHR (electronic health record) environment. Develop and support operational, analytical and strategic reporting and analytics solutions for information consumers. Work independently with requesters to scope data needs and develop meaningful solutions. Initiate contact with clinical/operational leaders, Epic application reporting leads, data architects, and Cogito Project Manager and coordinate communication among these groups to ensure a complete and accurate analytics product.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with data management, data interpretation, and analysis experience to include writing reports or queries using Crystal Reports, Tableau, SQL and/or similar reporting tools of which two years' experience in relational databases with SQL required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three-years' experience with Epic Clarity Data models and report writing experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC modules including inpatient, billing, HIM, ASAP, EPIC Inpatient, and Ambulatory preferred.
• EPIC Reporting Workbench and RADAR dashboard experience preferred.
• EPIC Data Link development experience preferred.
• Clinical and business experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) Webi/Universe experience preferred.
• Experience with HL7 Messages and scripting preferred.
• Experience with R or Phyton preferred.
• Master's degree in management information systems, health information management, computer science, or business administration preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and structure and use of information system applications in practicing health care environment preferred.
• Six Sigma Green belt or black belt certification preferred.
• Advanced SQL Certification preferred.
