  • 3+ years of experience in analysis, data visualization, or relevant quantitative field.

We partner with leaders across the operation to turn complex operational data into clear performance insight and decision support. The Analytics Specialist will be asked to work closely with leaders across the operations leadership team, as well as the broader OP&P organization to develop creative solutions to current challenges and communicate findings through storytelling. We are looking for data curious individuals who seek to understand process and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement. We are looking for data curious candidates who enjoy thoughtful debates about how strategy, business process improvement, and analytics impact the way Delta reliably serves its customers. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • 3+ years of experience in analysis, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field
  • Strong business acumen, statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and able to manage complex processes with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with analytical tools, such as SQL, Python, and PowerBI/Tableau required, as well as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal skills, with the ability to produce concise, relevant documents and presentations for senior leaders.
  • Direct experience communicating with stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end, and working collaboratively to drive improvement in the overall analytical support of Delta’s operation
  • Be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure.

  • Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience in Data Analytics, Decision Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or related analytical field OR Masters level degree OR equivalent experience AND/OR a combination of both
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field
  • Previous experience in operational role
