Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Specialist Solution Engineer (Tableau) to partner with Account Executives and analytics teams to demonstrate how Tableau, CRM Analytics, and the modern data stack drive business value, with a focus on Pacific Time zone operations.

You will build working demos, present to CXO-level stakeholders, and translate data challenges into tangible outcomes using Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and dbt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/SE/MIS/DS.
• Demonstrated ability to present to and influence C-suite executives.
• Thought leadership in analytics, data, or AI (speaking, publishing, advising).
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics, or Tableau Next; strong data visualization skills.
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses/data lakes (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and dbt.
• Strong SQL and data modeling across structured/semi-structured data.
• Builder mindset with a track record of turning ideas into working solutions.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies and how technical roles support deals.

Responsibilities

• Align solutions to the technology challenges of complex TMT Enterprise accounts; focus on Analytics portfolio.
• Act as trusted advisor on business development, strategy, and product demos.
• Lead with thought leadership on analytics, AI, and data trends in conversations and events.
• Present to CXO-level stakeholders; connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
• Define ambiguous business problems, then recommend practical next steps.
• Build working demos, rapid prototypes, and proof-of-value solutions for customer ideas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of LLMs and building agents on open/closed models.
• Build data models hands-on in Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and other platforms.
• Understand token consumption and design architectures to manage it.
• Advise on customer data/analytics architecture integrating Tableau and Salesforce with cloud data platforms.
• Apply MEDDPICC, Challenger, Value Selling to qualify opportunities.
• Tailor solutions and demos for multiple personas; from data engineers to execs.
• Complete product, sales, and procedural training and certifications.
