Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth seeks a Manager for Performance Planning and Analysis to lead analytics, reports and dashboards for Tech Ops. You will own day-to-day analytics delivery and drive data-driven decision making with cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have a relevant degree and 3+ years in data analysis (aviation preferred), with advanced SQL, Excel, PowerBI, Python, and Tableau skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Operations Research, or similar
• 3+ years’ experience in data extraction, analysis and reporting, or operational strategy
• 3+ years of experience in aviation

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and report on core Tech Ops metrics including delays/cancels, aircraft out of service, aircraft performance, line maintenance workload, manpower availability, etc.
• Own day-to-day delivery of analytics, reports and dashboards to track performance and highlight opportunities.
• Design, build, and govern scalable datasets for Tech Ops.
• Promote data-driven decision-making across teams.
• Upgrade tools and systems using modern data and reporting technologies.
• Collaborate with operational and analytics teams to apply statistical methods for performance insights.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to uncover operational bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and maintenance driver issues.
• Lead and mentor a team of analysts, providing strategic direction and development.
• Ensure high standards of data governance and data integrity across all maintenance data.
