Job summary

Progyny, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Manager, Medical Economics & Analytics to support Operations.

You will lead a team of analysts, translate complex healthcare datasets into actionable insights, and collaborate with Provider Network, Claims, Contact Center, and Member Experience to drive performance. The role requires 5–7 years in healthcare analytics with 1–3 years of people management, strong SQL, and experience with AWS/dbt/Databricks and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, economics, finance, statistics or data analytics field.
• 5–7 years of healthcare/analytics experience with 1–3 years in people management.
• Advanced SQL skills with large datasets (30M+ rows).
• Experience with modern data platforms and transformation tools (AWS, dbt, Databricks).
• Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Ability to translate complex questions into structured analyses and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Progyny claims, utilization, provider network, and financial data.
• Lead and mentor a team of analysts delivering analyses, reports, and data solutions.
• Develop scalable analyses, data models, dashboards, and reporting using SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, KPIs, and insights for decision-making.
• Partner with Data Engineering/IT to advance analytics infrastructure and data strategy.
• Improve analytical workflows and automate processes to boost efficiency.
