is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern for a 10-week paid program in our downtown Chicago office. You will contribute across teams like Product Engineering, Cybersecurity, ML, UX, and Digital Experience Analytics to build analytics that support real customer and business outcomes. You will work on the Digital Experience Analytics team, analyzing online data to guide features and analytics across Grainger's digital channels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Marketing, IS, or Data Science.
• Bachelor’s degree expected between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Showcases self-directed learning, projects, internships, or coursework using data.
• Curious about digital customer behavior and analytics measurement.
• Experience analyzing data with Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or Excel; SQL/Python/R a plus.
• Clear written communication, engaging visuals, and stakeholder storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer experience across digital channels to uncover opportunities.
• Collaborate with analytics and business stakeholders to define needs and scope.
• Gather, clean, explore, and analyze data from large digital ecosystems.
• Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Use Snowflake, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, R; apply AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
• Summarize insights and tradeoffs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with teammates on ad hoc analysis, A/B testing, and measurement planning.
• Learn how a modern analytics team operates and how data drives decisions.
• Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Present work and impact to technology leaders at internship end.
