Qualifications

• Are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative or analytical field.
• Have strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Have experience working with SQL.
• Are familiar with data modeling tools such as dbt or similar technologies—this is considered a strong advantage.
• Have experience with Python or another programming language used for data analysis—this is beneficial but not required.
• Are naturally curious and comfortable working with data.
• Can think logically and work through ambiguous problems.
• Are motivated to learn new tools, technologies, and analytical techniques.
• Have an interest in AI and its applications within analytics.
• Can communicate complex findings in a clear and accessible way

Responsibilities

• Transform raw datasets into well-structured data models for analysis, reporting, and dashboarding.
• Analyze complex customer and business datasets to identify actionable insights and opportunities to better serve our customers.
• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards used by teams across the organization.
• Support ad hoc analytical requests and investigations.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into effective analytical approaches.
• Use AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of your analytical work.
• Help explore ways for teams across Smartly to use AI to answer analytical questions more effectively.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
