thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking an Analytics Intern located in Cleveland, Ohio, to support the Coil Processing Group’s sales, operations, and production data. Interns will develop dashboards and analytics solutions, while gaining exposure to different parts of the business.

Candidates should be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and possess skills in data visualization, particularly with Power BI. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Analytics Intern will support the enhancement and ongoing support of the Coil Processing Group’s (CPG) sales, operations, and production data. This role works closely with cross‑functional team members to assist in developing dashboards, analytics solutions, and automation initiatives. By the end of the internship, the intern will gain exposure to multiple parts of CPG’s business and have hands‑on experience with data visualization and Power Platform tools. The Analytics Intern reports to the V.P. of Operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Learn and understand CPG’s business systems of record, SAP, and how to extract data from the system or the SAP business warehouse (BW).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Understand databases, table schemas, and data relationships.
• Interpret data, perform data analysis, and conduct data validation.
• Develop high‑quality Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
• Work with tkMNA corporate IT Cloud and DevOps teams on API development, integration, and performance optimization.
• Participate in meetings and shadow team members to capture detailed system and process knowledge.
• Follow established department documentation standards and add enhancements.
• Perform testing, enhancements, and quality checks to ensure solution accuracy and usability.
• Participate in peer‑to‑peer training sessions and solution reviews.
• Document findings, develop a knowledge repository, and support user documentation, training, and adoption of analytics and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full‑time in an accredited university. Junior or Senior academic standing.
• Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or any related degree. GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to think critically and keep up in a fast‑paced environment.
• The ideal candidate has a passion for business and technology.
• Interest in learning from data and creating appealing visualizations.
• Understanding of MS Power Platform.
• Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365 suite; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
