Job summary

Deloitte’s GPS practice is seeking an Analytics and Insights Engineer III to develop and validate quantitative workforce models across military, civilian, and contractor populations. You will work with data from government personnel systems, perform feature engineering, and calibrate models to improve accuracy and transparency.

Collaborating with senior data scientists and AI engineers, you will ensure outputs are explainable and ready for client validation reviews, while meeting tight deadlines

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building, validating, or maintaining quantitative workforce, staffing, or resource models.
• 4+ years applying advanced statistics in a professional setting, including regression analysis methods, model calibration, diagnostic testing, and interpretation of results.
• 4+ years of experience with machine learning models and feature engineering using structured data.
• 4+ years of experience programming in Python for statistical analysis, data preparation, and model development.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate quantitative workforce models translating workload drivers into FTE requirements.
• Analyze, clean, and prepare data from government personnel systems for modeling.
• Perform feature engineering, regression calibration, and plausibility banding for accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists and AI engineers to integrate scenario parameters into a front-end app.
• Ensure model assumptions and outputs are traceable and explainable for client validation.
