Thorlabs, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineering Supervisor to lead semantic modeling, KPI definitions, and enterprise analytics governance. You will partner with business stakeholders and Data Engineering to ensure scalable, trusted analytics assets and self-service reporting across Thorlabs.

Remote role with periodic travel to Newton, NJ or other Thorlabs locations; leadership of analytics personnel is expected and experience with AI/ML data preparation is a plus.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles.
• Experience designing semantic or analytical models (e.g., star schema, tabular models, Power BI datasets).
• Strong experience defining and managing KPIs, metrics, and business logic across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating business discussions and translating ambiguous requirements into structured analytical outputs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering teams and understanding data pipelines and transformations.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Fabric, or Dataverse is preferred.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Define, design, and oversee enterprise semantic and analytical models across business units.
• Translate business questions into clearly defined KPIs, metrics, and analytical frameworks.
• Own and govern enterprise metric definitions and align with departments.
• Facilitate sessions with SMEs to align on definitions and success criteria.
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure scalable data pipelines and datasets.
• Establish governance for semantic models, KPI definitions, and datasets.
