Heritage Vet Partners in Overland Park, KS seeks an Analytics Engineer to own the curated SQL reporting layer of our data warehouse. You will design and maintain the views, translate business definitions into durable logic, and ensure data quality across executives, finance, and clinics.

You will work with SQL Server/Azure SQL, T-SQL, and dimensional models, building semantic models in Analysis Services and Power BI. AI-assisted tools speed development, but you own correctness and data quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on with SQL Server or Azure SQL in analytics, data warehousing, or reporting contexts.
• Expert-level T-SQL with complex joins, window functions, and CTEs.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and reporting-layer design (star schemas, conformed dimensions).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft BI stack: Analysis Services, Power BI semantic models, and DAX basics.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools to draft, review, and debug SQL while ensuring correctness.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain the reporting view layer of our data warehouse (SQL Server / Azure SQL).
• Translate business definitions into durable SQL logic for consistent metrics.
• Own the Analysis Services / Power BI semantic models and their measures.
• Build validation checks and reconcile data to ensure trustworthiness for stakeholders.
• Write efficient T-SQL and optimize views, with guidance on when to index or redesign objects.
• Maintain documentation and data lineage for the warehouse.
