Job Description

The Analytics Engineer is an integral member of the data analytics organization responsible for optimizing and monitoring the retrieval, storage, and distribution of large data sets to enable data-driven business processes and deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and self-service visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Optimize data retrieval, develop data processes, algorithms, and improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop, test, and maintain data architecture, ETL processes, data models, data marts, metadata repositories, and data warehouse designs aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, automate tasks, and understand data resources to deliver actionable insights.
• Work with team members to ensure seamless database and application integration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience. High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analytics engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing, or analytics.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of healthcare or pharmacy benefit management systems.
• Programming experience in Python, R, and familiarity with UNIX.
• Experience with BI tools and cloud platforms.

Physical Demands

• Primarily sedentary work; frequent sitting, use of hands, talking, and hearing.
• Occasional physical activities like reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Visual requirements include various types of vision.

Employees must comply with security policies and legal requirements.

Salary range: $81,000 - $138,000 based on experience.
