Job Description

The Analytics Engineer is an integral member of the data analytics organization and is responsible for optimizing and monitoring the retrieval, storage, and distribution of large data sets to enable data-driven business processes and deliver actionable business insights through dashboards, reports, and other self-service visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Optimize data retrieval, develop data set processes, algorithms, and identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architecture, ETL processes, data models, data marts, metadata repositories, and data warehouse designs in alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities for process improvements and automation, and understand data resources to deliver actionable insights.
• Work with team members to ensure seamless integration between databases and user-facing applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or related IT field; or equivalent experience. High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analytics engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing, or analytics.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies, relational and dimensional data modeling, and data wrangling.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and ETL implementations, with experience in RDBMS/NoSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management or Healthcare ecosystem.
• Programming experience in Python, R, and familiarity with UNIX.
• Experience with BI tools, cloud products, and multiple database platforms.

Physical Demands

• Constant sitting, handling, talking, and hearing.
• Frequent reaching, occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal requirements.

Potential pay ranges from $81,000 to $138,000, based on experience and skills.
