Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineer Intern to transform raw data into structured data assets for BI. You’ll write modular dbt blocks, log schema updates, and partner with engineers to learn Workday data flows and business metrics.

Interns participate in our Early Career programs, gain hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and cloud platforms, and work on enterprise data initiatives within the ED&A lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• Less than 12 months of work experience.
• Graduation date between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Available for a full-time, in-person 12-week internship Summer 2027 in listed locations.
• Hands-on experience SQL to manipulate datasets for verification.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, data structures/algorithms, and DB management.

Responsibilities

• Transform raw data ingestion streams into structured, reliable data assets for BI frameworks.
• Write clean, modular dbt code blocks and log schema updates.
• Collaborate in squads to turn requests into actionable items and learn Workday systems.
