Job summary

HireHi is seeking a data-minded analytics engineer to own the Operations data model, turning raw operational events into trustworthy data products in the data warehouse. You will collaborate with Operations to answer questions and improve self-service reporting.

The role emphasizes precision, end-to-end ownership of sub-domain metrics within six months, and opportunities to work remotely or in a Europe-wide hybrid setup with AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as an analytics engineer or senior analyst on data modeling on modern data platforms (Databricks, Spark, dbt).
• Excellent SQL skills; ability to use Python when SQL is not enough.
• Ability to gather requirements from operational stakeholders and translate into clear metrics.
• Prioritize precision over speed when conflict arises.
• Ability to reconcile differing stakeholder definitions of the same metric.
• Understand processes and identify automation to remove manual work; advocate for change.
• High autonomy and self-direction; AI-assisted workflows are part of regular work.

Responsibilities

• Own the Operations data model, including reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding; turn raw events into trustworthy data products in the data warehouse.
• Partner with Operations stakeholders for ad hoc requests and recurring reporting; move repeatable questions toward self-service.
• Examine metrics processes to identify manual effort and fragile handoffs; determine tools to address them.
• Define and maintain key metrics for reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success/failure rates, and onboarding conversion.
• Participate in data quality and governance practices for the domain.
• Propose and help implement process and product changes from operational insights.
• Learn the Operations domain, stakeholders, and deliver an initial scoped fix or data product within the first month.
• Own at least one Operations sub-domain's metrics end to end within the first three months; contribute to TRI discussions.

• Own the Operations data model, covering reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding, and turn raw operational events into documented, trustworthy data products on the DWH
• Partner with Operations stakeholders on day-to-day questions, ad hoc requests, and recurring reporting, serving as their primary data contact while moving repeatable questions toward self-service
• Examine the processes behind metrics, identify manual effort and fragile handoffs, and determine which tools could address them
• Define and maintain key metrics for reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success and failure rates, and onboarding conversion within the team's central metric architecture
• Participate in data quality and governance practices for the domain
• Propose and help implement process and product changes based on operational insights
• Learn the Operations domain, its workflows, and reporting; meet stakeholders and teammates; and deliver an initial scoped fix or data product from the backlog during the first month
• Own at least one Operations sub-domain's metrics end to end within the first three months, contribute to shared Risk/TRI discussions, and bring a process or tooling suggestion to a stakeholder
• Within six months, become a data partner to Operations stakeholders, enable self-service for routine checks, and take independent ownership of assigned data and workflows

• Excellent SQL skills for analytical work and ability to use Python where SQL is insufficient
• Ability to gather requirements directly from operational stakeholders and turn ambiguous requests into clear, documented metrics
• Prioritize precision over speed when the two conflict
• Ability to reconcile differing stakeholder definitions of the same metric
• Understand operational processes and identify tools or automation that remove work; proactively advocate for change
• High autonomy and self-direction
• AI-assisted workflows and tools are part of your regular work
