Job summary

Chromalox is expanding its Data & Analytics capability by embedding an Analytics Engineer who will own end-to-end data pipelines and Power BI reporting for multiple business units. You will work across Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric to deliver scalable data models and dashboards for stakeholders worldwide.

The role emphasizes strong SQL and Python skills, governance, and hands-on development of BI solutions. A preference for Eastern time zone is noted but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines using Azure data engineering technologies (Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Synapse Link, or Microsoft Fabric).
• Experience using Python and PySpark for data transformation in Azure Databricks or Synapse Spark pools.
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD for data/BI assets.
• Strong experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and troubleshooting datasets.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (medallion/lakehouse/Delta Lake).
• Good data visualization and dashboard design principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage workload across data engineering and BI tasks in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Understand reporting needs and business objectives with stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into BI specifications including KPIs and data definitions.
• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Synapse, or Fabric.
• Write/troubleshoot SQL for data extraction and validation; use Python/PySpark for transformations.
• Follow Git CI/CD practices and maintain documentation.
• Provide user support and drive BI adoption across regions.
