Motion Recruitment invites an Analytics Engineer to join a leading energy enterprise in a hybrid Scottsdale setting. You will design modern data architecture, shape the enterprise semantic layer, and build scalable data marts to power BI and AI-driven querying tools.

The role emphasizes dbt workflows, Snowflake optimization, and Python-based automation, with collaboration across data engineers, analysts, and trading teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in Analytics/BI/Data Engineering with production dbt workflows.
• Strong SQL skills including window functions and optimization.
• Deep Snowflake architecture knowledge including performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain modular dbt models transforming ERP data to clean schemas in Snowflake.
• Develop semantic models for self-serve BI and natural-language querying via LLMs.
• Build scalable data marts for finance, power generation performance, and revenue variance analysis.
• Deliver data foundation and optimized queries for interactive Hex dashboards and executive reports.
• Implement dbt testing, schema validations and data quality frameworks.
• Leverage LLM tools to accelerate code scaffolding, SQL tuning, and documentation with strict reviews.
