Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions in Raleigh, NC seeks an Analytics Engineer to join our client’s team onsite. This direct-hire role focuses on building scalable data models and analytics with dbt, SQL, and BI tools.

You will own the analytics transformation layer, collaborate with Data Engineering to shape upstream pipelines, apply dimensional modeling, and maintain trusted business logic and shared metrics used across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, or data engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with complex transformations and aggregations.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt including models, refactoring, docs, sources and tests.
• Deep understanding of analytical data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Ability to translate business concepts into analytics-ready data models.
• Excellent communication to explain data logic in business terms.
• Experience in a modern analytics stack (cloud warehouse, dbt, BI tools).
• Familiarity with data governance concepts like definitions, lineage, and stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Own and steward the dbt analytics project including organization, naming, testing, and documentation.
• Manage analytics transformation layer to ensure reliable, scalable data models.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on upstream pipelines and data shaping.
• Define and implement trusted business logic, including dimensions, facts, and metrics.
• Build and maintain performance-driven analytics models in dbt based on business needs.
• Embed data quality rules and validation logic into dbt models.
• Apply dimensional modeling to support reporting consistency.
• Document models with descriptions, lineage, and assumptions.
• Support development of shared metrics and ensure consistency across analytics.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment workflows to ensure quality.

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Analytics Engineer to join our client’s team in Raleigh, NC. This is an Onsite, Direct Hire position.

SALARY: $90,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
